Instruction for presentations


      Speakers will have access to projector, clicker and a fixed computer in the corresponding rooms.

      Oral presentations will be only allowed in English.

      The usage of the Conference presentation template is strongly recommended.

      Speakers will have at most 15 minutes to present their work with a Q&A session at the end of each group of speakers.

Submission information

Please login or create a new profile in the POMS submission platform, and follow the instructions for abstract and full-paper (optional and only for accepted abstracts) submissions.


Interested participants are invited to submit abstracts of continuous text (no bullet points, no math/Greek symbols) no longer than 50 words describing their presentation. The title should be no longer than 15 words. Full-length paper submission (up to 8 pages - Template) is optional - only for accepted abstracts. The system will also ask to identify the name of the paper presenter. One person can present at most three abstracts/papers, and the maximum number of authors per publication is five.


After the conference, the abstracts will be published as Conference Proceedings and will be available on this website. Full Paper Proceedings will be published by Springer.








Special issue AT THE Brazilian Journal of Operations and Production Management (BJO&PM)

Extended and updated versions of selected papers presented in the conference will be invited for submission to a Special Issue on  Opportunities & Challenges for Operations Management to be published at the Brazilian Journal of Operations and Production Management (BJO&PM).


The BJO&PM ISSN 2237-8960 ( publishes practical applied research at the forefront of the management discipline in every aspect of operation and production for those concerned with the management of systems, whether in academic institutions or industry. The journal is associated with the Brazilian Association of Production Engineering (ABEPRO). 

For the period 2018-2020, Prof. Osvaldo Quelhas (from the Production Engineering Department of the Federal Fluminense University - UFF - will be the Editor-in-chief.



The journal does not charge publication fee.




Thematic Session at the Production Journal

Extended and updated versions of selected papers presented in the conference will be invited for submission to a Thematic Session on  Operations Management & Social Good to be published at the Production Journal.


The journal Production ISSN 0103-6513 ( is the flagship journal of ABEPRO - Brazilian Association of Production Engineering. Production Journal (formerly, Produção) was created in 1990 in order to provide a communication medium for academic articles in the Production Engineering field. Nowadays, the journal is among the top Brazilian journals in Operations, Manufacturing, Industrial and Production Engineering and Management. 


For the period 2018-2020, Prof. Dr-.Ing. Enzo Morosini Frazzon (from the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department,the Production Engineering Graduate Program and the Production and Logistics Intelligent Systems - of the Federal University of Santa Catarina - UFSC) will be the Editor-in-chief.


The Production journal is Open Access and is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC-BY). The journal uses ScholarOne submission platform and is indexed by SCOPUS and several other databases.


The journal does not charge publication fee.
